These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the PDFCensor application ("PDFCensor", "the App", "we", "us", or "our").
By downloading, accessing, or using PDFCensor, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the application.
1. Description of the Service
PDFCensor is a PDF document processing and redaction application.
The application allows users to process PDF documents locally on their devices, including applying redactions and exporting processed documents.
PDFCensor does not provide cloud-based document storage or server-side PDF processing.
2. Your Documents
You retain all rights, ownership, and intellectual property rights in the documents you process using PDFCensor.
PDFCensor does not claim ownership of your documents or their contents.
You are solely responsible for:
- The documents you import into the application.
- Ensuring that you have the necessary rights or authorization to process those documents.
- The information contained in your documents.
- The accuracy and completeness of any redactions you apply.
- Reviewing exported documents before sharing, publishing, or relying upon them.
3. Redaction Disclaimer
PDFCensor provides tools intended to help you redact information from PDF documents.
You are responsible for verifying that sensitive information has been properly and permanently removed before distributing a redacted document.
You should not assume that applying a visual mark or covering information automatically guarantees that the underlying information has been permanently removed unless the application explicitly indicates that the content has been securely redacted.
PDFCensor is not responsible for the consequences of improperly redacted documents, including accidental disclosure of confidential, personal, financial, legal, medical, or other sensitive information.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PDFCensor in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
You must not use PDFCensor to:
- Violate the rights of another person or organization.
- Process documents unlawfully.
- Facilitate fraud, identity theft, or other illegal activity.
- Circumvent applicable laws or contractual restrictions.
- Attempt to interfere with or compromise the operation of the application.
We reserve the right to take reasonable action where necessary to protect the application, its users, or third parties.
5. Subscriptions
PDFCensor offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store.
Available subscription plans may include monthly and yearly subscriptions.
Subscription prices, billing periods, and availability are displayed through Apple's App Store purchase interface.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current subscription period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account settings.
Deleting the PDFCensor application does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Subscription functionality is managed using Apple's App Store infrastructure and RevenueCat.
6. Free Trial and Promotional Offers
If PDFCensor offers a free trial or promotional subscription in the future, the applicable terms, duration, eligibility requirements, and pricing will be presented before purchase.
At the end of a free trial, the subscription may automatically renew at the applicable price unless cancelled in accordance with Apple's subscription management rules.
7. Refunds
Purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's refund policies and procedures.
PDFCensor does not directly process payments or independently issue App Store refunds.
Refund requests should generally be submitted through Apple.
8. Intellectual Property
The PDFCensor application, including its software, user interface, design, branding, logos, graphics, and other original content, is owned by or licensed to Sezer Fidancı and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of the application.
You may use PDFCensor only as permitted by these Terms and the applicable App Store rules.
9. Availability
We aim to keep PDFCensor available and functional, but we do not guarantee that the application will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Features may be modified, updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time.
Because PDF processing occurs locally, functionality may depend on your device, operating system, available storage, memory, and compatibility with particular PDF files.
10. No Warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDFCensor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We do not guarantee that:
- Every PDF file will be processed successfully.
- Every redaction will be suitable for every purpose.
- The application will be free from errors or interruptions.
- The application will meet every user's specific requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer rights or statutory warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sezer Fidancı shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or related to your use of PDFCensor.
This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:
- Loss or corruption of documents.
- Improper or incomplete redaction.
- Accidental disclosure of information.
- Loss of data.
- Inability to use the application.
- Reliance on documents processed using the application.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
12. Your Responsibility for Backups
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important documents.
Although PDFCensor is designed to process documents locally, unexpected software errors, device failures, operating system issues, or user actions may result in data loss.
You should maintain independent copies of important documents.
13. Termination
You may stop using PDFCensor at any time by deleting the application from your device.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the application or any part of its functionality where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and any rights you may have as a consumer.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When changes are made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms.
Your continued use of PDFCensor after the updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer and your place of residence, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of mandatory rights provided by the laws of your country or region.
